Colourways:
Kim has handpicked these colour combos! There are a few types of combinations- please refer to photos for this exact combo.
Matt and Metallic- 10 matt markers and 10 shiny markers that are harmonious (i.e. Yellow and Gold)
Rainbow- 5 different colours in shades that compliment each other (i.e. Pastel pink, lavender, light green, aqua, and a pale yellow). 4 of each colour
Vibes- 4 different colours that all go together to create a ‘feel’ or ‘vibe’. Usually two of the colours will be very similar. (I.e. Rose Gold set is 5 golds, 5 metallic dusky pink, 5 light pink, 5 other light pinks)

Plain- 20 stitch markers of one singular colour (i.e. White)

About the design:
This was a fun project created by Kim’s love of medical history. Apothecaries and old pharmacies always had tons of tiny little glass jars with handwritten labels. The uses for some of the tonics, lotions, potions and herbs were mostly placebos (at best) so our little tongue-in-cheek label also reflects the wild claims that many of the old Patent Medicines (or snake oil!) made. In a fantasy world, we’d hope that you could bottle fairy dust, dragons blood and the essence of sunshine to help with any spells or magic potions you were making. We hope, in practical usage that you’re never too far from a stitch marker when you need one.

About the Materials:
Bulb pins are EVERYWHERE in the knitting community, they are usually produced in China or far away from the UK where the working conditions aren’t discussed publicly. We cannot trace where these were manufactured- we just want you to be aware of this. As they are the easiest and cheapest option for many people (not everyone can afford handmade markers from local makers, we understand this!) we wanted to give you the opportunity to buy them from a Local Yarn Shop. We also didn’t like most of the plastic packaging we saw, so we went with a glass bottle that is reusable and eventually recyclable. We’ve also kept the cost really low- like we do with most things- so it’s really accessible for low-income households. When you’re buying these little tonic bottles from us, you’re supporting our work to bring more ethical knitting, crochet and spinning supplies to the world.
